How YOU Can Support Our Butterflies
By contributing to the Butterfly Project, you will provide resources each girl needs as she overcomes trauma, finds healing, and is one day ready to fly on her own. We support our butterflies on this journey by caring for their hearts, minds, strength and spirits.
In every way the Butterfly Project is preparing girls to thrive by becoming healthy and happy adults.
Your contribution to the Butterfly Project will make a meaningful difference in the lives of sexually abused and exploited girls.
Private School
Why private school? Most of the girls who are in our care have current legal cases in court. Because of this, the Butterfly girls are not able to attend public school. This is why we send our girls to private Christian schools where they are safe, secure, and able to learn in a trauma informed environment.
Private Drivers
Why private drivers? Because most of our girls have open legal cases, it is imperative that they are kept safe. Some of the perpetrators are still at large. It is our responsibility and privilege to ensure that these girls are kept safe 24/7. Having private drivers allows our girls to travel and feel at ease getting from school to home. This is also why we do not advertise who we are on our vans or property.
Trauma Counseling
Why counseling? When someone goes through a traumatic experience, that person may get stuck. It is so important for our girls to work through their trauma so they are better able to grow and thrive in life. They first need to feel safe. After they feel a sense of safety, they are better able to trust. Trust is the beginning of any good relationship.
We at the Butterfly Project strive to build a safe environment so our girls can trust. Once they are able to trust, the hard work of healing can begin. We have counselors and trained staff who are equipped to walk alongside these girls on their healing journey. In all that we do, we point these precious girls to Jesus, the true healer of our pain. This is not an easy road to walk by any means. Often, they fall. We are always there to pick them up and help them to walk again.

In order for our girls to grow physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually, they need healthy food everyday.
It costs $3/day = $90/month = $1,080/year to make sure one child is fed 3 healthy meals and 2 snacks everyday. This not only makes a difference in their physical health, but also their mental and emotional health as well.
